I am now an uncle again. My brother and sister-in-law just had a baby girl. She is 7 lbs 5 oz and 19 inches long. They named her Sarah Elaine Cole. We will go see her soon and have pictures too.

Wow! It was a long weekend. I hope you all had fun. Am and I took Brandi and Joel to the cabin. It was a fun time for all. Well at least for some. They fought a little too much and we tried to stay out of the way. Otherwise it was an enjoyable weekend.

Well it is official. Today I went back to work for Academic Computing here at SIUE. I had hinted at this before in my blog, but did not want to say anything till it was a done deal. I am now posting this message from the comfort of my new office. I now have a window! How cool is that? I will be working with the same people I used to work with before I went to OIT.

Lazy day today. It rained most of the day today, so Amber and I spent it inside. It did not help us get much done though, other than watch TV. Oh well always tomorrow to get something done.

Tonight there will be a partial to total lunar eclipse. Check it out. It will occur at about 9:00 PM CDT and last for about an hour. It is a good time to see it because the moon will be full tonight. Do not miss it!

Last night Amber and I went to Sears to pick out our new Lawn Tractor. It is a Poulan Pro 18 hp Briggs & Stratton with a 42 in. Deck Lawn Tractor. It seems to be the best we could find, and at only $1199 it was a pretty good deal. We should get it delivered next Monday. I hope it shows up on time. Thanks Mom and Dad Cole for a great graduation present.

Whew! Well the weekend is over. It was long and short at the same time. I GRADUATED! It was a nice ceremony and did not take too terribly long. Amber, Sara, Brandi, Joel, Brad, Chazz, and my mom and grandparents were there. Then after that we all headed out to Amber's parents' house. We had everyone over and it was great fun. We would have had the party at our house but, go figure, it only takes Amber and me to plan an event and then we are surrounded by tornadoes. It only rained a little on the party itself, so all had a good time. We had about 30 people out. One of my favorite gifts, though I asked for none, was from David Kapp. He bought me a Lexar 128 Mb USB JumpDrive. It is really cool. Well thanks all who came and hope you had fun. We sure did.
PS. My Internet was down at my house ALL weekend do to power outages in Palmyra, IL from the severe storms in the area.

Well we just barely missed having a tornado hit our house. There was a very bad storm that hit the area about 3:00 PM today. We are ok. Everyone we know is ok. There was a lot of storm damage to the south of us around Dorsey, IL. Amber's friend's parents had quite a bit of damage to their house. They live about a half a mile south of us. Just a little scary but everything is ok.

It was a long weekend. I spent most of it outside on Saturday getting the yard mowed and stuff. We hauled away the last of the tree that fell down in our yard. We also installed a new sign across the road for passersby to notice. Sunday I spent the time studying for my one and only final happening later tonight. It is getting really close now. Less than a week and I am done. Whew.
