Studios aim to do away with VHS format by the end of 2006 | CD Freaks.com. Well if you have not done it yet, you will need to get yourself a DVD Player. I have already replaced my VHS with DVD. I even purchased a new DVD recorder for the VHS replacement.

Senate Tackles Digital TV | RED HERRING. This will be a big deal. Once the TVs go all digital in 2009 what we do with the freed spectrum will be a huge deal. We will see many fights between wireless companies and who knows who else. I am keeping an eye on this.

Mo. May Track Cell Phones for Traffic Data | Yahoo! News. I do not know how I feel about this. It could be useful data but it could also be a privacy problem. They would have to find a nice middle ground to provide privacy and the best data.

U.S. winning the Hex means a lot | FOXSports.com. GO USA! Congratulations for winning your group. This means that we have preferential placement in the draw for the 2006 World Cup. I can not wait and am counting the days, 235 and counting.

2009 Likely to Be Digital TV Deadline | Yahoo! News. For all of you out there like me who have yet to purchase a digital TV, we now have a final deadline. In 2009 the FCC will take back its spectrum and we will all need digital tuners. Although I am most likely going to purchase to a new HDTV next summer for the 2006 World Cup.

Fire destroys 'Wallace and Gromit' warehouse | CNN.com. Sad news for the Wallace and Grommet lovers out there. You can still see "Curse of the Were-Rabbit" in theaters now.

UCLA Makes Cheap Solar Cells | RED HERRING. I am very excited about this news. I hope that this really will come into the market soon. I would love to put some solar cells on my house but they are too inefficient and too expensive as it is now.

Revised NASA Shuttle Plan Includes Most Station Hardware | Space.com. Here is the latest plans for NASA and the last flights of the shuttle program. Let us hope they can get them off the ground and be safe.

Costa Rica 3, United States 0 | FOXSports.com. Costa Rica handed out a beating to a second list of USA players last night. It was disappointing but does not affect the scheme of things since the USA has already qualified for the 2006 World Cup.
