Liz Phair, Making 'Somebody's Miracle' | NPR. NPR interviewed Liz Phair recently. You can listen to three tracks from her new album. I know this will be going on my christmas list.

TiVo's & DVRs are not killing ads according to TV networks - CD Freaks.com. Well this could be great news for all of us who own DVRs. I know that I actually watch some commercials when fast forwarding. I will see something catch my eye and I will go back and watch it. So now they may stop trying to prevent us from skipping the commercials.

Diebold Attempts to Evade Election Transparency Laws | Eff.org. Damn Diebold is at it again. I can not believe the arrogance of this company. Someone needs to put them in their place.

Vatican official refutes intelligent design | Seattle PI. Well now at least somme one over there is still thinking clearly. I completely agree.

Eye Protecting LCD Monitors | Gizmodo. I would love to get my hands on one of these. Staring at a computer screen all day, I know will hurt my eyes eventually.

CNN.com - U.S. networks offer 'on-demand' TV - Nov 8, 2005. At first seeing this I am thinking, this is very cool and that it is about time. Then I read the article and now I am confused. I see very little practical use for these delivery systems. NBC and CBS what are you thinking? I am confused. How/Why would I pay $0.99 to watch something the next day on my DVR when I could just record it and watch it the SAME day it airs. Just leaving out the commercials is not value enough. I want the show the same day or earlier if I pay for it and I want to be able to digitally preserve the show to DVD or DVR.

TiVo Join to Blend TV, Web Services | Yahoo! News. Poor, poor TiVo. They pioneered the DVR/PVR revolution and now are loosing ground so fast they are running backwards. They are trying to partner with everybody so they can just hang on. I hope something will become of them. Maybe someone important will buy them out and then they can live on.

MIT maps wireless users across campus | CNN.com. This is a cool project. I think this could be really neat. It is a great way to quickly visualize your WI-FI usage.

U.S. Senate sets DTV transition date | Infoworld. If the president signs the bill, all TV signals will be digital after the deadline. This will be a great step forward but will cost all of us some dough as everyone will need a new Digital tuner or Digital TV. I am still waiting to see if I can afford a new TV this summer before the World Cup starts.
