On The Cheap: Top 10 Most Frugal New Cars | Consumerist Forbes magazine has released a list of the top 10 least expensive cars to own. The list is interesting because it takes into account things like depreciation and maintenance costs, rather than just listing some cheap-ass cars. Check it out.

A blogger (who sells car dealer CRM software) describes extremely lax computer and wireless security at multiple new car dealerships. If this is the situation, how secure is any of your personal and financial data that happens to be on a car dealer's computer system or network? A good read and hopefully a wake-up call for any business!

Vehicle Mileage Estimates Get Real | commondreams.org. Looks like the EPA may be wising up. This is the first time in over 30 years they have changed the MPG calculations. I am hoping this will help people make more informed choices. Only we can break our dependence on foreign oil. I know the next car I buy will get 30+ miles per gallon.

SUV Haters Vent In GM's Make-Your-Own Ad Contest | InformationWeek. I saw a couple of these ads. They are funny. I feel mixed about this as we are looking for a new truck right now. I wish that we could find one that is fuel efficient but they just do not exist. We can justify it because we will not drive too much with it and my car is more efficient.

His Car Smelling Like French Fries, Willie Nelson Sells Biodiesel | New York Times. Willie drives and sells BioDiesel. This is an interesting read. I would love to experiment with biodiesel but there are no stations, that I know of, in my area selling it. Oh and I would need a diesel vehicle too.

Car Talk Site Switching Software Allegiance. Sad to see them not choose to go with Quicktime streaming, but I can relate. It is harder to find the free player at Real.com than to find a black cow on a moonless night.

I spent all week last week playing with my new toy. I got an iPod. It is great. I think everyone who enjoys music should get one so they can listen all the time. The only bad thing is that my car will not accept a tape adapter so I can not use it in the car yet. I am looking into this add on for the iPod that should solve that problem.
