PBS Series Examines Life Aboard an Aircraft Carrier | NPR. I caught this TV show on my local PBS this weekend. I was surprised at how much it sucked me in. I would suggest you give it a chance if you can catch it or check it out here. It details the life on board the USS Nimitz Aircraft Carrier during a six month deployment to Iraq and it is very good and well rounded in the story it tells.

I found this link to Open GPS Tracker and thought it was an interesting project. I would not mind trying to build one of these sometime. It seems like it could be useful for quite a few things. I would put one on my four wheeler. That would be neat.

Free Wireless Internet For the Masses: Another Dumb Scheme From Washington | gizmodo.com I have to agree that this is an unlikely proposal, but I still think it is quite interesting. This would be fast enough to be usable for causal browsing and would be great if it was available to all. We need more politicians at least trying with new ideas like this.
