About
The Cougar Cupboard is the non-profit food pantry located at Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville serving students, faculty, and staff members. The Cougar Cupboard's food and toiletry items are supported entirely through donations. Our mission is to fight food insecurity and hunger on the SIUE campus and create connections within our community, and to support our clients through empowerment and self-determination. We offer clients an individualized and dignified shopping experience with convenience and anonymity. This allows our students, faculty, and staff members to have equitable access to food and supportive services. We believe access to food is a basic human right, and we are committed to responding to the needs of our SIUE campus community through food distribution and supportive services. If you are unsure of what to donate, please email the Cougar Cupboard at cougarcupboard@siue.edu. Click here for a printable overview of the Cougar Cupboard.

Spring 2023 Cougar Cupboard Updates
The Cougar Cupboard will be continuing to require appointments to shop in order to regulate the number of clients in the small space at one time. You are still expected to book an appointment, arrive on time, and communicate efficiently in situations where you are unable to make appointments. Face masks are optional. Appointments are for individuals only, however if you would like to bring a dependent with you (spouse, child, family member) you are more than welcome to. If you arrive early, there will be some seating outside of the Cougar Cupboard and someone will notify you when your appointment time begins. If you do not make an appointment, you may be asked to return at a later date/time. Please review the attendance policy here.
