Cascade Upgrade Overview
Cascade has been upgraded to version 8.14. This major upgrade introduces a new redesigned modern interface, an upgraded WYSIWYG editor, file upload improvements, context menu experience, a mobile friendly design, and more.
Log in screen
- The login screen has a new clean and modern look
Dashboard
- The new dashboard has a new clean and modern look
- Each widget can be added, removed, and rearranged according to your needs
Site selection
- The site selection has a new look
- Click Site: Go to a Site and choose from the list of websites
Site Content
- The Site Content asset tree is bigger and easier to read
- Trash (formerly Recycle Bin) has been moved to this area
- Click the folder title to expand/collapse its contents
- Click the arrow next to the folder title to open the folder contents in the main window
Settings
- Click the blue circle (with your last name initial) in the upper left to view your Settings, History, Notifications, Tasks, and Sign Out
WYSIWYG Editor
- The WYSIWYG editor has a new look
- Some options have been moved to a dropdown menu system
File Upload Improvements
- File chooser moved to more convenient and logical location
- New drag and drop feature allows user to drag file directly from desktop
- Ability to upload multiple files at once
- Page Name field is automatically updated to match name of the selected file
- Progress bar shows current upload status
Context Menu
- Right-click any asset (page, file, etc) to access its context menu
- The context menu will list every available function for that asset
Improved Mobile Experience
- New mobile-friendly interface for phones and tablets
- Optimized log in screen, responsive dashboard, and editing improvements
