The center is available for study, meetings, weddings, memorials, showers and conferences or for rest and relaxation for the SIUE and local community. The Center for Spirituality & Sustainability offers an oasis from the hectic pace of university activity. Situated on the south end of the campus next to Visitor's Lot B there is an outdoor
seating area available for study, meals, relaxation or reflection. The center has an alternative library with books and periodicals on religious issues and other topics. Two student lounges and the library are named after three Christian martyrs of this century: Dietrich
Bonhoeffer, Martin
Luther King, Jr and Oscar
Romero.
