Upcoming Events 

Art Hives are coming to the Center!

On January 18 from 1:30-4:30 will be the first one in the new year and then every 1st Friday through May 2019.

Art Hives’ core principles include consensus decision making, solidarity, positive kind regard, radical hospitality, everyone an artist and each one, teach one.

  • Roman Catholic Mass - Catholic Campus Ministry - Noon & 8:00 PM During Fall & Spring Semesters.
  • Holy Temple Life Line - 1:00 PM



  • Prayer with Dee Jackson, come in and pray or drop off your prayer requests - 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM in the King Room.

  • Midweek Mass - 12 PM.  During Fall and Spring Semesters only.
  • Southern Illinois People for Progress - Second Wednesday of the month - 7 PM. SIPP exists to support and further the interest of the people of Southern Illinois in participating in government; shaping progressive governmental and community practices and policies; championing legislation the strengthens human and civil rights, healthcare protections, economic justice and environmental safeguards.   • Center for Spirituality & Sustainability Friends Meeting - 3rd Wednesday of the month - 1:30 PM.

  • Newman Community Night - 8 PM  During Fall and Spring Semesters only.

  • Buddhist Meditation in the Dome with Light of Compassion Buddhist Society led by the Venerable Haewan Sunim -Second and Fourth Fridays at 7 PM.
  • Baha'i Community Night - 3rd Fridays of the month.  During Fall and Spring Semesters only.

  • Red Cedar Circle1st Saturday of the month at 12:00 PM.   

Annual Events

  • Annual Leadership Awards Dinner - The 2018 Spiritual Leadership Award was presented to Rev. Traci Blackmon and the Sustainability Leadership Award was presented to Shiela Voss.
  • "Celebration of World Faiths"- Once a year the Friends for the Center for Spirituality & Sustainability host their annual "Celebration of World Faiths". Join us for an evening of learning and fellowship celebrating faiths from around the world.
