Thoughts on Adjusting to Change and Change-Based Feelings in Higher Ed
- Dr. Dr. Paul Rose, Professor of Psychology & Associate Dean School of Education, Health & Human Behavior
- As conditions have changed throughout the pandemic, we have been in constant need of adjusting our behavior at work and in life. In this talk, Dr. Rose will explain why waiting to make behavioral changes until we feel motivated to make those changes can be a mistake. Ample research suggests that, sometimes, our behavior can be a cause, not just a result, of our feelings. The best strategy in the face of change, therefore, can sometimes be to just start acting, and let feelings of motivation follow.
