University Housing Staff and Programs Recognized with Regional Awards
Since November, five individual Southern Illinois University Edwardsville staff members and three SIUE University Housing programs have been recognized as Of The Month (OTM) regional award winners. OTMs are campus nominated awards that are voted on across the country by the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH). NRHH is the recognition branch of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH). NRHH supports monthly recognition of student staff, programs, professional staff, faculty and more through Of the Month (OTM) awards.
These nominations serve as a testament to the outstanding contributions and achievements within the University Housing community. Each OTM nomination gets graded and evaluated at the local, regional, and national levels, showcasing the remarkable efforts of individuals and programs. Nominations are written by SIUE University Housing student and full-time staff.

Nominations included examples of student impact, a student first approach when working with others, a commitment to respect and fairness, positive attitudes, and care. The WHAC Vision Board Party was recognized for its transformative impact on residents' goal setting and aspirations, emphasizing the program's role in helping residents organize and visualize their goals in a fun and creative manner, providing a tangible reminder of their dreams and priorities beyond academia.
