Unrecognized Fraternities and Sororities
An "unrecognized" fraternity or sorority is an organization who does not follow SIUE policies and regulations, including those outlined in the Student Organization Handbook, Student Code of Conduct, or the requirements and policies of their respective (inter)national organization. Unrecognized fraternities and sororities do not have any of the privileges that recognized organizations have earned. We do not encourage University students to join these organizations.
The following unrecognized organizations have had their recognition revoked by the University for one or more of the following reasons, including acts of misconduct, such as alcohol and drug use, hazing, risk management violations, and/or failure to comply with University policies and expectations, including minimum membership size.
