Transportation - Whether it be a drive to an appointment, or just a ride shopping, transportation services are available for your senior over 60.
Meals-on-Wheels - Participants are provided with daily meals in the comfort of their home, Monday through Friday in the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon area. Frozen weekend meals are available.
Noon Meals - Have a daily noon meal from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with other older adults in your area. For a small fee, your elder family member can enjoy company and catered food from Anderson Hospital. Ensure that you make reservations one day in advance.
Health Screening and Evaluation - Making sure the person for whome you are caring stays healthy is very important. To ensure this, blood pressure screenings, hearing tests, flu immunization and more health screenings are offered. Charges may apply. You also can take health education programs to stay current on your senior's health.
Education and Training - A variety of educational programs are available for older adults. Programs such as travel, local history and even rules of the road are offered. SIUE provides speakers for "Dialogue with a Professor" and "Cavalcade of Ideas." Local leads also host "Coffee Talks" which they chat with the audience on a variety of topics.
