Accepted Aid & Timeline:
- Loans that are accepted within a week of the payment deadline cannot be guaranteed to be processed in time to disburse to the student's account. It's encouraged to pay out-of-pocket ahead of time instead, in order to maintain enrollment within the last week and a refund can be issued during the Session or enrollment.
- If loans are accepted one at a time/per Session you might not be able to go into CougarNet
- Your must be enrolled in at least 3 hours per Session to receive any Loans. Any Sessions that have non enrollment (hours), but Loans have been accepted, will not pay to the student's account.
Loan Limits
- The Annual Student Loan Limit for Unsubsidized (UNSUB) Loans per Award Year is $20,500.
- Sessions 1-6 Loans are divided into six (6) equal distributions ot $3,416 (with the sixth disbursement being $3,420) to reach the Loan Limit.
- Once a student reaches the Annual Student Loan Limit for UNSUB, Graduate PLUS Loans can then be introduced into a student's aid package.
- If a student's enrollment is at 15 hours (combined for two (2) Sessions (Fall, Spring, Summer), Loans will be decreased to offset the Tuition/Fees costs.
