Dr. Serdar Celik will receive two professional recognition awards

1. A paper by Dr. Celik with Dr. Sinan Onal, Industrial Engineering, received the Best Paper Award from the Energy Systems Division of Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers. The award will be formally announced on May 20, 2018 durring the IISE conference in Orlando, Florida. The Paper information is as follows: Celik, S. and Onal, S., “Green Roof Energy Savings Analysis for Pilot Regions in Florida Using Image Processing Technique”, Proceedings of the IISE Annual Conference, Orlando, FL, May 19-22, 2018.
2. Dr. Celik was selected as the "Established Advisor of the Year" at SIUE for being the advisor of an ASHRAE Student Chapter. He will receive the award at the SIUE Kimmel Leadership Awards Ceremony on Monday, April 23 at 4:30pm.
