Dr. Corey Ragsdale is an Expert in Anthropology!
Posted July 31, 2019
Earlier this month it was announced that Dr. Corey Ragsdale was selected for a three-year term as an expert in Anthropology for the Coalition for Archaeological Synthesis (CfAS) committee on human migration. The competition for selection was intense, and being chosen was a great honor. According to the CfAS website, “The Coalition for Archaeological Synthesis (CfAS) promotes and funds innovative, collaborative synthetic research that rapidly advances our understanding of the past in ways that contribute to solutions to contemporary problems, for the benefit of society in all its diversity” (http://archsynth.org/).
It is no surprise to us that Dr. Ragsdale was chosen for this award, given that he has been a research star since he began teaching at SIUE in the fall of 2016. Since then, he has won both internal and external grants, he has published five refereed book chapters, and he has published articles in five different peer-reviewed journals, including top tier journals Current Anthropology and International Journal of Osteoarchaeology. But hey, who's counting? Congratulations Dr. Ragsdale!!! We are lucky to have you!
