Organized into 4 major functional areas, Academic Affairs, Administration, University Relations, and Student Affairs. The administrative officers in charge of these functional areas report to the Chancellor.
The Office of the Chancellor also encompasses the Office of the General Counsel, Budget Director, Government Liaison function, Office of Institutional Compliance, Intercollegiate Athletics, and University Park.
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is authorized to operate as a postsecondary educational institution by the Illinois Board of Higher Education.
