Records Unit and Administration
Both of these departments are open on University business days, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. University business days do not include weekends, holidays, administrative closure days, or inclement weather days.
Records Unit
This unit is responsible for the collection, storage and duplication of all police records, which include all police logs, reports and statistics.
Fees for services provided by the SIUE Police Department:
- Copies of police reports: $5
- Fingerprinting: $5
All requests for copies of police reports and records checks shall be received by this unit. Services are to be performed during regular University business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with the exception of fingerprinting which can be done at any time. (SOP; Procedure F-1) Personal checks, money orders, and exact amount of cash are all acceptable forms of payment, provided proper identification is offered. Payment is expected at the time services are provided.
All requests for statistics can also be made through this unit. Please allow at least 24 hours for the requested information. Requests can be made by phone, email or in person. There is no service charge for statistical information. You can also find some of our statistics on the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report.
