I am currently not admitted to a specific graduate program and am attending as an "unclassified" graduate student. What do I need to know?

While an "unclassified" graduate student, you may self-register for courses via CougarNet for eligible courses that do not have a prerequisite. For any courses with a prerequisite, you will need to seek the permission of the Graduate Program Director for the program which offers the course. If you are intending to seek admission into a specific graduate program, it is crucial that you are aware of the policy on limitations of transfer credit that apply to unclassified students.
