My undergraduate degree is from, or will be from, SIUE. Do I need to request an official transcript?
No. You do not need to submit an official transcript from SIUE and do not need to pay for one to be sent.
How do I obtain an unofficial transcript from SIUE?
The Graduate and International Admissions office will upload an unofficial copy of your SIUE transcript to your application. If you would like to obtain an unofficial transcript, you must login to CougarNet. Current students may login using their e-ID and password. Past students, or anyone that no longer has access with their e-ID, can login using their University ID (begins with 800). Instructions are also available if you forgot your pin.
I sent my official transcripts. Do I also need to upload an unofficial copy within the Application Center?
Yes. Please upload your unofficial transcripts to the SIUE Application Center as this will facilitate the review process. You may be approved to your graduate program with unofficial transcripts, but SIUE cannot send you your admission letter and you cannot register for classes until SIUE receives your official transcripts.
My baccalaureate degree will be awarded at the end of the current term, but my final grades and degree are not on my current transcript. What should I do?
You should apply and upload your unofficial transcript that shows your degree is in-progress. Your application will be reviewed for approval of admission. Admission will be contingent on the completion and conferral of your undergraduate degree. If you are currently attending an institution other than SIUE, your final transcript should be sent directly from the degree-bearing institution electronically to siueapps@siue.edu or by mail to the Office of Graduate and International Admissions, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Campus Box 1047, Edwardsville, IL, 62026. You will receive an admission letter indicating next steps after your admission.
