About Dr. Hupp
Stephen Hupp, winner of the Great Teacher Award in 2015 and the Champion for Diversity Award in 2019, is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at SIUE. He obtained his PhD in clinical psychology from Louisiana State University.
Dr. Hupp is also a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and the Mental Health Consultant Coordinator for the St. Clair County Head Start program. Interests include parenting, the dissemination of evidence-based treatments, and the promotion of skeptical thinking about pseudoscience. He created an event that led to breaking the Guinness World Record for the “longest line of books” (2017 - 2019) and has published several books about the science of psychology and skepticism (see below).
