About Mrs. Heimbuecher
Lauren is a full-time clinical instructor in the Department of Applied Health, graduate program in Speech-Language Pathology. She is a proud alumna of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville where she received both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. She is a certified speech-language pathologist and has worked in a private practice providing services to children ranging in ages from 1-18 years. Her professional interests include early language development, speech sound disorders, adolescent fluency disorders, and telepractice. She is licensed in the state of Illinois and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Lauren came to SIUE in the summer of 2020 and provides supervision of treatments and assessments provided by graduate student clinicians in-person and via telepractice at the SIUE Speech-Language-Hearing Center (SLHC). She supervises community speech and language screenings provided by graduate student clinicians to facilitate community outreach. Lauren is the SIUE SLHC Facebook Social Media Manager and educates the community about services that are offered at the SIUE SLHC and shares highlights of faculty, staff and graduate student clinicians.
