Accelerated Program Options
Three-year Undergraduate Degree Option
The three-year undergraduate degree option allows students to earn a Bachelor of Science in exercise science in three years through the Accelerated Exercise Science program. Students will take a variety of interesting courses such as exercise physiology, human physiology, biomechanics, nutrition and others, within the framework of a strong liberal arts curriculum.
Direct Admit 3 + 1.5, 3 + 1 and 4 + 1 Undergraduate and Graduate Program Options
3 + 1.5 Undergraduate and Graduate Degree
The 3 + 1.5 program allows students to earn a Bachelor of Science in exercise science in three years through the Accelerated Exercise Science program and a Master of Science in kinesiology with a specialization in exercise physiology or exercise and sport psychology. Students with a high school GPA of 3.25, 25 Composite ACT score and/or 1200 SAT ERW+M only are welcome to apply for this program in their senior year of high school. Students accepted into this program will be guaranteed admittance into the undergraduate exercise science program, as well as the Master of Science in Kinesiology program (a GPA of 2.75 must be maintained throughout the three-year undergraduate program). During the first three years of the undergraduate program, students will take a variety of interesting courses such as exercise physiology, human physiology, biomechanics, nutrition and others, within the framework of a strong liberal arts curriculum. In their graduate year, students will complete the requirements for the Master of Science in Kinesiology, with a specialization in either exercise physiology of exercise and sport psychology. Students are able to choose which specialization to pursue in the final year of their undergraduate program. Students will be required to complete an admissions application for graduate school during the final year of the undergraduate program. However, the admission fee will be waived, and acceptance guaranteed, as long as a GPA of 2.75 is maintained and University standards are upheld.
3 + 1 Undergraduate and Graduate Degree
The 3 + 1 program allows you to earn a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in three years through the Accelerated Exercise Science program and a Master of Science in Kinesiology with a specialization in Exercise Physiology, with only one additional year of graduate coursework. In the first three years, students will take a variety of interesting courses such as exercise physiology, human physiology, biomechanics, nutrition and others, within the framework of a strong liberal arts curriculum. In the graduate year, students will complete the requirements for the Master of Science in Kinesiology, with a specialization in Exercise Physiology. Admission to the graduate program in exercise physiology is not automatic. Undergraduate students must meet the admission requirements for graduate school, which include a GPA of 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale).
