Office 365 Now Available to SIUE Students, Faculty & Staff
SIUE has licensed Microsoft Office365 for students, faculty, and staff as a part of our Microsoft Campus Agreement. Last year, students were eligible to download and use Microsoft Office on personal computers. Starting today, this is available to active faculty and staff accounts.
We have also enabled a number of other services that you can start using today:
- OneDrive for Business (please note: this is different than OneDrive personal)
- Office Online (web versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- OneNote
- Microsoft Office applications for PERSONAL computers and mobile devices
- Please note: DO NOT install a new copy of Microsoft Office on your SIUE computer
Additionally, we will be moving SharePoint sites into SharePoint Online. If you currently use SIUE SharePoint, information about this move will be posted on your SharePoint sites.
To access Office365, please use this link: http://office365.siue.edu You will need to use your full SIUE email address (NOT just your e-ID) and e-ID password to log in.
IMPORTANT: In accordance with SIU System Information Security Plan - Information Systems Privacy & Statement of Ethics, OneDrive and Office Online should not be used to store High-Risk or Confidential information without written justification and department director or Dean approval. If you have questions about the appropriate use and storage of protected health, financial, or student records please contact the ITS Help Desk.
In the coming weeks, we will begin migrating email and calendars into Office365. Additional information and schedule information about this change will be available soon.
