Partners in Pharmacy Education, Practice, Scholarship and Service

The role of pharmacists has grown far beyond dispensing drugs to have a vital role in delivering the high quality, affordable and accessible healthcare people and communities need for their health and well-being.   As the only pharmacy school located in downstate Illinois, the SIUE School of Pharmacy is the leading provider of the highly competent, contributing and caring pharmacists who are advancing the pharmacy profession and the quality of patient-care in southern Illinois, the St. Louis metro region and beyond. Our School is also conducting innovative research and has received several top-tier grants, which are making significant advances in the areas of neuroscience, psychiatry and pain management.

Top Strategic Funding Priorities

Contributions to the SIUE School of Pharmacy make a difference in preparing the next generation of pharmacy leaders and meeting the diverse health care needs of people, businesses and communities in our region, state and nation. We invite you to learn more about and consider supporting one or more of the SIUE School of Pharmacy’s top funding needs and priorities.

  • Global Education Experiences (Fund # 3609) Gifts support the formation of global partnerships and the provision of international education experiences for pharmacy students, which is an important strategic priority for our School.  These experiences have a transformative impact on student’s multi-cultural awareness, understanding and competency, and in the ability to meet the health care needs of diverse populations and communities in our region, nation and world.  Gifts cover the cost of student travel, lodging and meals to countries that currently include Costa Rica, Guatemala, India and Jamaica.
  • “Campaign 4 Connie”  (Fund # 8417) Alumni from the SIUE School of Pharmacy, are leading this campaign to thank and honor Connie Stamper-Carr for all she has selflessly contributed to the success of their personal and professional lives and futures. The goal is to raise $25,000, to establish the Connie Stamper-Carr Endowed PharmD Scholarship, which will provide an annual scholarship in perpetuity for a PharmD student.   The campaign launched on June 17, 2017 and will run until June 30, 2018.   A special recognition event will be held on July 14, 2018 at the St. Louis Hilton Ballpark, to honor Connie, and to dedicate a plaque to her that will be placed in the Student Affairs Wing of the School of Pharmacy.
  • Student Annual and Endowed Scholarships Awards (Fund # 7204 & Various Others)  Gifts to talented and deserving students make a difference in their lives and careers, and help advance the profession.  Our goal is to double the number and total amount of scholarships awarded to students each year.
