Get Ready for Spring 2027 and Winter Session Registration
New and returning Southern Illinois University Edwardsville students can begin planning for Spring 2027 and Winter Session classes.
Registration for the Spring 2027 term will roll out in November, with course registration opening at 10 a.m. each designated day:
- Monday, Nov. 2: Seniors and premier registration groups, including Military/ROTC and some ACCESS students
- Tuesday, Nov. 3: Early access groups and graduate and doctoral students
- Thursday, Nov. 5: Juniors
- Monday, Nov. 9: Sophomores
- Thursday, Nov. 12: All students, including visiting students
Current SIUE students are encouraged to schedule an advising appointment before registering. Graduate students can contact their graduate program advisor for registration guidance.
“Spring may seem like a long way off, but now is the best time to start planning,” said Patrick Sears, MPA, registrar. “I encourage students to review their DegreeWorks worksheet and meet with their advisor or graduate program director before registration begins so they can choose courses that keep them moving forward toward their academic goals.”
Students may also register for Winter Session during Spring 2027 registration. Winter Session offers students an opportunity to complete a fully online course during the semester break, helping them make progress toward their degree or lighten their course load.
“Winter Session may also be a good option for students who want to get a head start for spring,” said Sears.
Winter Session courses are offered online in an accelerated format. Visiting students from other institutions may also enroll and should confirm with their home institution that an SIUE course will apply toward their degree requirements.
