The Easiest Blackboard Ultra Improvement You'll Make All Semester

If you recently converted your course from Blackboard Original to Ultra, you may notice a Coursework folder at the top of your Content page. While this folder was automatically created during the conversion process, it is often not needed in Ultra and can add an extra layer of navigation.
In Ultra, you can organize your course content directly on the main Content page using learning modules or folders. Instead of keeping everything inside the Coursework folder, consider moving those items to the main course level.
Why remove the Coursework folder?

How to do it

Open the Coursework module/folder.

Drag content items from Coursework onto the main Content page using the 6 dots to the left of the title. If you have trouble dragging and dropping, zoom out on your browser.

Once all content has been moved, delete the empty Coursework module/folder.
A simple course structure helps students focus on learning rather than navigating. As you review your converted Ultra courses, consider removing the Coursework layer to create a more intuitive experience for your students.
Tip: Course formatting and organization can change during conversion. Be sure to review your course content and test functionality before the semester begins.
