SIUE ASCE Student Chapter, Recipient of Two Prestigious Recognitions

The SIUE ASCE Student Chapter is the recipient of two prestigious recognition awards: the 2024 Letter of Significant Improvement and the 2024 Letter of Honorable Mention. These awards are for the Chapter’s activities as recorded in the 2023 Student Chapter annual report. This is recognition received by only the top third of all the ASCE Student Organizations. Civil Engineering Team Awarded $462K from IDOT to Improve Scour Estimate Analyses for Bridge Stability

Faculty and staff in the Department of Civil Engineering have been awarded a $462K grant by Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) for a 4-year research project that will analyze scour estimates at bridge sites in Illinois to produce findings that will lead to improvements related to bridge design and maintenance.
