Business Internship Services

School of Business Experience Courses

To bridge the connection between academic work and real-world experience, the Office of Internship Services provides resources and opportunities for all business students. In collaboration with business faculty and the Career Development Center, the School of Business coordinates an internship program that provides students in all business disciplines the opportunity to enroll in one of the following experience courses.

For more information on the guidelines for this internship program, please refer to the Academic Guidelines for each course linked below. Note: Data Analytics and International Business students can have internships in any of these areas.

• ACCT 396 - Accounting (BSA)
• ACCT 596 - Accounting (MSA)
• CMIS 488 - Computer Information Systems and Cybersecurity
• CMIS 587 - Management Information Systems
• ECON 488 - Economics
• FIN 488 - Finance
• GBA 488 - General Business/Any Program (Undergraduate Students)
• MGMT 488 - Management, Entrepreneurship, and Human Resources
• MKTG 488 - Marketing
• SCM 488 - Supply Chain Management

To have your experience reviewed and be enrolled in one of these courses, please complete the following:

Step 1: Report your experience in Cougar Jobline:

1. Click on "Internship or Experience" on the left side of your page
2. Click on "+New Experience" and enter the required information
   • Experience Type - Select Business Internship for Credit ONLY
   • Interested in zero-credit official transcript recognition?
     • Select NO, and no action will be taken.
     • Select YES to report your experience for free/no credit transcript recognition.
   • Interested in academic credit hours?
     • Select YES and email the School of Business Internship Coordinator to enroll in the School of Business internship course.
3. Once you enter all the details for your position, click "Save."
4. Review all the details and click “Submit for Approval” (an email will be sent to your supervisor for approval)
