Old Fashioned Minced Meat

4 lbs. beef
1 lb. suet
8 lbs. apples
4 lbs. sugar
2 lbs. raisins
1 c. vinegar
2 T. cinnamon
1 T. cloves
1 T. salt
1 c. chopped citron

Cook beef until tender. Run through meat grinder with suet. Pare & quarter apples. Combine and cook, stirring occasionally. Seal in sterilized jars.

My mom made this once or twice when I was a boy.
