The Center for Spirituality & Sustainability's mission is to promote humanity's sacred connection to the Earth and each other.

The Center's vision is to preserve the Buckminster Fuller geodesic dome in Edwardsville, Illinois, as the physical embodiment of Fuller's philosophy.  The dome's translucent "miniature Earth" is a beacon for global unity by providing a place for connecting the world's cultural and spiritual traditions through their common concern for the planet.

The Center's geodesic dome was designed by R. Buckminster Fuller in collaboration with his architectural partner, Shoji Sadao who designed the building that supports the dome.

The Center was designated as an Edwardsville Local Landmark by the Historic Preservation Commission and City Council of Edwardsville, IL in August of 2008.

The Center located on the campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is available for Prayer, Worship and Spiritual Discussions of all faiths - Educational Events - Student Organizations and Volunteer Service  - Memorial Services - Day Retreats and Meetings.
