Virtual Parking Permit Registration Types and Rates
Parking Services uses virtual parking permits which are tracked through the vehicles license plate and are enforced through license plate readers and recognition software that has been installed in all of the Parking Services vehicles. Virtual parking permits are issued to be valid in specifically colored / named parking lots and it is the drivers responsibility to park in the appropriate parking lot for which their vehicle is registered and permitted to park in order to avoid receiving a parking citation. Below is a breakdown of the virtual permit types, eligibility to purchase, allowed parking locations by permit type, and the cost of for each type of permit.
Virtual permits can be purchased for three different durations. An Annual permit is valid for a full academic school year which is Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. A Semester permit is good for either Fall or Spring semesters and also are valid for the Summer semester. The last duration is a Summer semester permit, which is valid only for the summer term of a given academic year.
