Latest Information From Parking Services
Multiple construction projects including parking lot maintenance are ongoing throughout the University, and workers are parking in the same lots as faculty, staff and students. We request your patience and understanding. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Ride together and save!
SIUE Parking Services is partnering with RideFinders, the St. Louis regional rideshare program, to encourage faculty, staff and students to share a ride to work or class. Ride sharing is an environmentally conscientious way to commute. For many, it can reduce stress, save money and improve productivity.
Starting fall 2015, SIUE offers preferential parking spaces in either Lot A or Lot E, and half-price green permits for individuals wishing to take advantage of the Cougar Carpool program.
Those interested in participating must first register in the RideFinders program. Participants can take advantage of Ridefinders’ Guaranteed Ride Home program, which offers members up to four rides home per year in the event an emergency requires them to leave work or school unexpectedly. There must be at least two vehicles and two residences to qualify for the program.
Cougar Carpool permits are available in the Parking Service Office. Faculty and staff using a carpool permit may also purchase a green or blue permit. Non-residential students using the carpool may also buy a red permit.
Registration runs from July 1-August 8.
