What We Do
The Office of Institutional Research and Studies (IR&S) provides timely, accurate, accessible, and data-driven information to support Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s position as a nationally recognized university. We work with data sources throughout the university to build reports for internal constituencies and external reporting bodies.
We compile the SIUE Fact Book as a valuable resource for current and historical data about SIUE, including its students, alumni, faculty and staff, and programs and instruction. We regularly validate and provide university data to meet federal, state, and other external reporting requirements, including student outcomes, university staffing, and financial reporting. We provide research, analysis, and modeling to address the informational needs of other university offices and constituencies, and our work guides and assists the university in meeting the goals of the SIUE strategic plan and its pillars.
