Qualifications

An undergraduate degree with a background in
education, literacy development, and supervisory
experience will be beneficial, but is not required.

Position Description

The America Reads Supervisor will work in close
communication and cooperation with AmeriCorps
directors to supervise community literacy tutors.
In this role, the supervisor will recruit tutors
and manage payroll procedures. The supervisor
will also lead literacy development exercises
and oversee records of tutors’ attendance and
observations. A background in education, literacy
development, and supervisory experience will be
beneficial, but is not required.
