QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED for all GA positions:
Bachelor’s degree
Acceptance into SIUE Graduate School; must
maintain a 6-9 hour course load per semester
Evidence of sound organizational skills
Ability to interact effectively with student-athletes,
colleagues, and the public
Strong communication and computer skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS for VIDEO/DIGITAL
MEDIA GA:
Video experience including shooting and editing
Adobe Creative Suite Experience
Social media platform experience
VIDEO / DIGITAL MEDIA GA JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the immediate supervision of the Assistant
Director of Communications/Video, the Video and
Digital Media Graduate Assistant would have the
following responsibilities:
• Produce high-quality video and digital content
• Post content intended to promote SIUE
student-athletes and teams to various audiences,
including current students, fans, recruits, and
broader communities
• Heavy focus on promotion of SIUE basketball
programs and revenue generating initiatives
• Strategically drive engagement and growth
of SIUE social media platforms, including but
not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and
TikTok.
