Nursing (Accelerated RN to BS)
Admission Information
Employees of SSM may apply any time. Applicants will be considered for admission to SIUE when their application and all transcripts are received.
Admission Requirements
- Complete application
- All official transcripts sent directly from school(s) to: Office of Admissions, Box 1047, SIUE, Edwardsville, IL 62026. SIUE accepts electronic transcripts at etranscripts@siue.edu if they are sent directly from institutions.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 (on 4.0 scale) in all college-level courses
Prerequisite Courses
The following courses are required before students begin the nursing courses
- Anatomy & Physiology I
- Anatomy & Physiology II
- Chemistry
- Microbiology
SIUE will verify students’ eligibility to receive tuition benefits from SSM. The University bills SSM Healthcare for course work. Students will be responsible for identifying any changes in employment status and reimbursing SSM tuition costs above the yearly maximum.
Participation in a corporate partnership through use of direct payment to SIUE by your employer is a benefit of employment. Students who receive, or plan to receive, grant funding through sources including, but not limited to MAP, Pell, Illinois Veteran's or similar grant programs during their time in this program may forfeit the benefit provided by the employer and may be subject to full or partial repayment of funds.

Blackboard
