Advising

All Mass Communications students should meet with their advisor at least once per semester to review degree progress and plan upcoming courses. Detailed college-level advising information is available through the College of Arts and Sciences Advisement Office.

In addition, Mass Communications students are strongly encouraged to connect with faculty members for program-specific mentorship and advising. Faculty contacts by area:

Student Media & Organizations

The Alestle — Award-winning student-run newspaper and news website. A great opportunity to gain journalistic experience.

Global Village — Student-produced news and entertainment television show, produced in the department TV studio.

Web Radio — Student-run internet radio station. Open to all students.

WSIE 88.7 FM — St. Louis' home for jazz, blues, and easy R&B. Mass Communications students welcome.

Mass Communications Club — Undergraduate student organization for all Mass Comm majors. Open to all undergrads in the department. Also on Facebook.

Study Abroad

Mass Communications students have studied in Argentina, Spain, the United Kingdom, Japan, and South Korea. If you are interested in studying overseas, discuss options with the department chair. Explore study abroad programs.
