State Universities Retirement System (SURS) - mandatory participation for eligible employees

Optional Plans:
Southern Illinois University 403(b) Retirement Plan - optional individual investment account with pre-tax and Roth (post-tax) options

State of Illinois 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan - optional individual investment account, exempt from State of Illinois income tax, even at the time of distribution
