Curriculum and Instruction

Welcome

Our department focuses on teaching and learning from birth through adult.

Programs in our department prepare teachers for an initial teaching license in:

• Early Childhood Education (Birth to grade 3)

• Elementary Education (Kindergarten to Grade 9)

• Secondary Education (In a variety of subject areas, Grades 6-12)

At the graduate level we also work with practicing teachers to extend and deepen their knowledge and skills in teaching and learning in the broad areas listed above, as well as in specific areas such as:

• literacy/reading specialist,
• math,
• science, and
• social studies.
