Dean’s Welcome

Dean Rose

Thank you for your interest in the School of Education, Health and Human Behavior. Since 1958, our school has prepared teachers and school administrators who are widely sought after by employers.  Today, our school has a more diverse set of programs that prepare not only future educators, but also future professionals in fields such as public health, nutrition, psychology, speech-language pathology, exercise science, and college student personnel administration. You can find the full list of our undergraduate and graduate programs here.

Professors in the SEHHB conduct field and laboratory research, and place particular emphasis on experiential learning. Our students engage in internships, field experiences, student teaching, and supervised research. Some students participate in travel studies, and some provide services in our Attention and Behavior Clinic, Speech-Language-Hearing Center, Cougar Curriculum Center, or Weight Management Program.

Our undergraduate and graduate advisors, and our award-winning faculty and staff in general, focus on student needs. We aim to create the most innovative and inclusive learning environment possible. Please take a moment to learn more about our teaching, research, and service by visiting our department web sites, our Twitter page, and our Facebook page.
