Women in Mathematics WebQuest - Introduction

Women have long been involved in the study and furtherance of mathematics.  At the turn of the 4th century A.D., Hypatia of Alexandria was a well-known teacher and writer in the fields of mathematics, philosophy, and astronomy.  Since that time, many other women have made important discoveries in mathematics.

In this WebQuest, you will have an opportunity to meet and write about one of four women mathematicians who lived and worked in the years spanning the 19th and 20th centuries.
