This is the equivalent to a keyword search and may be best if you aren’t sure
what specific topic you are looking for.
Title search:
Use this is you know the exact title of the book you are looking for, ex:
The Great Gatsby
Subject search:
This search uses controlled vocabulary as assigned by the Library of Congress.
Think of this as the equivalent to the heading found in phone books. For
example, if you look up “gyms” in the phone book, it might say “see
recreational facilities.”
Author search:
Search using the author’s last name first, ex: Hemingway, Ernest
