Veterans Upward Bound assists with the pursuit of vocational/technical, associate and bachelor degrees.
Why Veterans Upward Bound?
Veterans Upward Bound is designed for those ready to transition from a job to a meaningful career but who find the cost of tuition a barrier to earning a credential. If you want to increase your earning potential but aren't sure where to start, this program provides the essential support and resources to help you successfully return to school and reach your professional goals.
Eligibility Requirements:
All discharges qualify, except for dishonorable. All participants must be either low-income or potential first-generation college students (neither parent earned a four-year degree).
- - 180 days of active duty service (If less than 180 days, released because of a service connected disability)
- - Member of a reserve component of the Armed Forces called to active duty for a period of more than 30 days
OR
- - Member of a reserve component of the Armed Forces who served on active duty in support of a contingency operation on or after September 11, 2001
