Upward Bound Scholars Academy
The Upward Bound Scholars Academy is designed to strengthen the math and science skills of participating students.
Who We Serve
The SIUE Upward Bound Scholars Academy offers services at no cost to eligible high school students from the Collinsville school district.
To be eligible:
- Participants must be from a low-income family and/or be a first generation college student according to the federal guidelines established by the Department of Education
- - Student must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher
- - Student must demonstrate a strong aptitude for Math and Science
Program Hours
During the academic year, students meet every 2nd and 4th Saturday from 9 a.m.-noon.
During the summer, students are on the SIUE campus from Sunday-Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., pending field trips. Students are dropped off at Bluff Hall.
