This event will be a phone-free experience. Use of cellphones, smart watches, smart accessories, cameras or recording devices will not be permitted in the performance space.

Upon arrival at the venue, all phones and smart watches will be secured in Yondr cases that will be opened at the end of the event. Guests maintain possession of their phones at all times, and can access their phones throughout the show at designated Phone Use Areas in the venue. All phones will be re-secured in Yondr cases before returning to the performance space. Guests are encouraged to print their tickets in advance to ensure a smooth entry process.

As commencement season approaches, SIUE will be hosting some graduation celebrations to honor the accomplishments of our graduating undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who will earn their degree in Spring 2019. Please read the following information of details regarding the graduation celebrations:

Wednesday, May 1st
International Student Graduation Celebration
MUC Meridian Ballroom
3:15 - 4:30pm
"Enjoy refreshments, share memories and mingle with students and staff. Graduating students will receive at International Stole. Registration should be completed by Wednesday, April 24th to be included in the event. Contact the Office of International Affairs for questions at 618-650-3785."

Non-Traditional Graduation Celebration

"Non-Traditional Graduation Celebration is a pre-commencement celebration to show that SIUE cares and appreciates the journey you endured to obtain your Bachelor's Degree. Registration should be completed by Friday, April 26th at 4:30pm to be included in the event. The American Red Cross will host a blood drive on campus open to students, staff, and faculty from 11am – 4pm on the following days:

  • Tuesday, April 23rd – Mississippi/Illinois Room, MUC
  • Wednesday, April 24th – Bloodmobile, SIUE Hairpin

The Disc Golf Tournament will begin on Friday, April 26th at 2pm. The course is played behind Prairie Hall. Please be sure to dress for the weather. All participants are to meet at the hole located at the Prairie Hall Sand Volleyball Court.

Please join us for a series of FREE meditation workshops in the Rendleman Hall lobby (Fridays from 4:30 - 5:30pm). Together we will explore spiritual sound meditation, not only on a philosophical basis but by practical experience. Be ready to reach higher levels of consciousness! You are invited to join the Alumni Association and Office of Student Affairs for the Always A Cougar Graduation Celebration on Thursday, May 9th from 4-6 p.m. outside Birger Hall!

Kick off Graduation Weekend with free food from Chris Cakes of St. Louis, a zip-line and bungee trampoline, music, games, prize giveaways, Free SIUE Alumni T-Shirts, a graduation cap decorating contest and more!

Pre-register, beat the long lines and receive a special gift from the Alumni Association by clicking here to sign up.
