Now Accepting Nominations for the Employee Recognition Program

The Employee Recognition Program Award is an esteemed accolade bestowed on an employee who epitomizes the University’s core values in his/her daily work. the program is designed to recognize civil service and professional staff employees for their exceptional accomplishments and service to our community. Employees may be nominated for this prestigious award by faculty, staff or students. The nomination must be made or supported by the immediate supervisor.

Further information about Employee of the Month rewards, nomination criteria and the nomination form can be obtained online.

Nominations are due in the Office of Human Resources by close of business Friday, May 13 to be eligible for the June award. Awards are presented once a month.

Since employees may receive the award only once, please contact Annette Eversole at ext. 2297 before submitting a nomination.

Friends of Lovejoy Library to host "A Night in the Stacks" with Erin Bode

You’re invited to attend an evening of musical entertainment by Erin Bode:

Dinner and drinks will be provided by the 1818 Chophouse and there will be more than 70 autographed music-themed auction items, many of whom performed at the Mississippi River Festival.

Tickets are $45 each and seating is limited. Funds raised from the event will go to support Lovejoy Library’s collection development.

School of Pharmacy Offers Free Medication Evaluation Visits

Chris Lynch, professor and director of clinical programs in the SIUE School of Pharmacy, invites faculty, staff or their friends and family to sign up for a free medication evaluation visit.

Lynch, and two senior pharmacy students, will visit the patient in their home or meet with them in Lynch's office in the School of Pharmacy. Lynch can travel anywhere within a 40-mile radius of the campus. He and his students will conduct a thorough interview, review all medications and offer written feedback to the patient and his or her caregivers as needed.

This program is especially beneficial to those taking large numbers of medications each day or who have medicated-related problems. Lynch is a board certified ambulatory care clinical pharmacist with 23 years experience specializing in assisting patients dealing with large numbers of medications.

A percentage of the tickets sold will go to the organization which directly benefits St. Louis Children's Hospital and SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.

Kindermusik Summer Camp at SIUE

Splash! Just add water and stir. This wet and wild unit is filled with delight and surprise. Baths, boats and beaches make a splash as children explore the sounds, sensations, movements and music of all things wet and bubbly.

This musical camp is for you and your children, ages two-five.

Cost: first child registration fee is $50 and $25 for each additional child.

Fees are based on the number of children per family registered. All class and digital at-home materials are included with the camp fee. One digital at-home materials package will be given per family. The non-refundable class and digital at-home materials fee is due in full with registration form and confirms your space in class. At least one participating adult must accompany enrolled children.

Enrollment is due by Thursday, June 30.
