About My Instrument

Lessons - Private and Group

We offer private violin, viola and cello lessons. We also offer group lessons in violin, viola, and cello, as well as several intermediate and advanced reading ensembles. Most of these lessons take place on the campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Students not enrolled in our program can join our reading ensembles.

Advanced Ensembles

Our SIUE Tour Group (directed by Allison Woerner) and SIUE Cello Ensemble (directed by Stephanie Hunt) are available to students in our program, who play at an advanced level, by audition. Auditions take place in the fall of every year.

Masters Degree

SIUE offers a Masters Degree in Music with an emphasis in Suzuki Pedagogy with Suzuki Association certified coursework in Suzuki Pedagogy, taught by our renowned director, Vera McCoy-Sulentic.
