Sarah Laux is ACPA Double Award Winner

SIUE’s Sarah Laux received two awards from the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) - College Student Educators International at its annual convention Monday, March 7 in Montreal, Canada.

Laux is an assistant director of civic engagement with the Kimmel Student Involvement Center. She received the Annuit Coeptis Award, which honors five emerging professionals at a dinner where there is a wide-ranging discussion and exchange about professional issues. The dinner carries on a tradition established by Professor Philip A. Tripp and Ursula Delworth, who loved to challenge their contemporaries and junior colleagues in a spirit of personal and professional sharing, good humor and thoughtful intellectual debate. The Latin phrase annuit coeptis reflects Tripp’s and Delworth’s optimism for the future of the profession.

An Alton native, Laux also received the Commission for Student Involvement Outstanding Mid-Level Professional Award.

Office of Admissions Student Referral Program
