SIUE’s Pre-College Programs provide primarily high school students with opportunities for academic enrichment and pathways to college enrollment. These programs give students a glimpse into college life and academics, and the chance to see themselves in this setting.

High school students can earn college credits through dual credit and dual enrollment courses.

TRIO Upward Bound

The SIUE East St. Louis Center houses three TRIO Upward Bound Program grants that serve 275 high school students from East St. Louis School District 189, Cahokia, SIUE East St. Louis Charter, Brooklyn and Madison, Collinsville and Granite City.

Veterans Upward Bound

Summer Success Program

The SIUE Summer Success Program is a five-week program open to a cohort of newly admitted first-year students who identify as a first-generation college student (neither parent has earned a Bachelor's degree) and/or low-income and/or having a disability. The Summer Success Program is no cost to enrolled participants.
